Why am I asked to give access to my location?

When downloading the app you may be asked to allow for ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION. This is needed for Android OS 6 and later devices to be able to scan nearby Wi-Fi® networks which are then displayed in the Hubble Connected for Motorola app during the setup procedure and from which you select yours. Information on location is neither shared nor saved by us.

If you haven’t set up your camera as yet and you deny permission setup may – depending on the Android device and the OS of that device – fail.

If you already got your cameras set up, you can deny permission and it won’t affect the performance of the Hubble Connected for Motorola app.

  • Go to your phone configuration > Apps.
  • Select the Hubble Connected for Motorola and then App Permissions.
  • Deactivate Location (There is no specific setting for ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION. It is grouped under Location).
